Lotusphere 2010 Comes to the UK - Collaboration and Web Solutions

Following the massive success of Lotusphere in the US at the end of January, we are delighted to be able to offer you the opportunity to attend a highlights event especially for UK businesses.

Previously this event has been attended by large numbers of delegates and is highly recommended by regular blue-chip company attendees. It will be hosted by InfoSys and IBM, on the 26th February in Swindon, and will follow our regular Open Day format.

We kick the day off with a strategic review from a senior IBM executive covering software solutions for collaboration, social software for business and web applications.

Lotus Domino/Notes 8.5.1
Following this overview we will focus on the Lotus Domino/Notes 8.5.1 platform. We will show why you should consider this platform either for your messaging, collaboration or application development environment. In fact, you are now freely able to mix any of these with your existing software so there is no need to change established solutions.

Portals for a new Kind of Web Site
We will also show how a portal can convert a web site or intranet from a useful source of information to a business environment that increases customer loyalty, builds lead generation and helps in campaign targeting. A Domisphere Portal Manager based solution with IBM Websphere provides portals that are fully managed by business users able to work with traditional documents and files but also work with a new generation of integrated web applications.

Lotus Connections for Social Business Solutions
Social software such as LinkedIn and Facebook are becoming more familiar in business environments and we will highlight the new IBM Lotus Connections 2.5 with web forums, communities and shared tagging for professionally managed social software that becomes a vital tool.

Applications for Notes, the Browser or Mobile
New application development options for the Lotus Domino platform will be presented with technology that allows existing Lotus applications to be converted or implemented once and accessed from Lotus Notes, a browser or a mobile device such as a Blackberry or IPhone.

The Open Day will be based on our familiar format and has been designed for business managers, business system users and IT professionals from technical staff to Directors/Managers to ensure everyone gets the best return on their time investment. The day consists of elective formal presentations, the chance to meet experts and peers in smaller groups and meetings on a 'one on one' basis. There will also be an opportunity to attend software demonstrations and case study presentations.
